Never leave this place!
My parents raved for years of this place. Now im 32 years old and have been going back for years, every year. I come every year all the way from chicago. No matter who is tending bar, youll always have a great experience. You can even look for your state license plate on the wall. I think those things hold the place up.. Anyway, go. You wont wanna leave..

Down to earth FUN
Our trip to Redington Shores each year would not be complete without going to the Bamboo Beer Garden each Saturday or Sunday from 2PM to 6PM. The place is really down to earth with great musicians jamming and volunteers from the patrons performing. You never know what"s going to happen. You hear everything from Dixieland, Western, and Big Band played and sung. It"s a great source of entertainment and reasonable prices. Dress? anything that covers you properly. The best music for the over 50 gang.

A Memory in Time...
The Bamboo Beer Garden is a must see for all who visit the area. Such a relaxing, atmospheric, open air place to meet the locals. We even met some folks from Liverpool, England who told us they had seen The Beatles play at The Cavern Club while they lived in England. Cool huh? Yes, The Bamboo Beer Garden will always be remembered as one of my favorite places to visit in Florida after a long day on the beach. Another Cold Draft Please :)

The Historic "Bamboo"
This historical real estate, near John's Pass, was occupied before the local government existed. Visited and revisited by people from all walks of life, from all over the world, it has been and is, a retreat from the realities, to enjoy the simple pleasures in a subtropical atmosphere. Live entertainment can evolve from one lone banjo to as many as a ten piece band, with an array of vocal talent and specialty acts, all unrehearsed. The basic group playing the music has been known, casually, as the "Bamboo Buzzards". This being the southern "Buzzards", as two members of the original group were from near Buffalo, N.Y., where the "Barroom Buzzards" reign supreme. Minutes turn to hours and build up memorable recollections for an incredible number of people who never forget and long to return. For the musicians, it is an obsession to be part of the mutual musical admiration society--no charter required! Come join a happy throng.
(The above taken from an undated, handwritten manuscript of the late, beloved Charlie Strabe.)
